For campers who do not like to be tied to timetables and prefer to stay outside a campsite, there are three valid alternatives and one is right inside the Cinque Terre National Park.

Camper parking area in levanto

In Levanto, near the train station, the rest area is on the road that leads to the A12 motorway. Open all year and managed by the municipality, it hosts about twenty motorhomes and provides the possibility of draining gray / black waters despite having a somewhat cramped cockpit. The 24-hour stop costs € 36, the 12-hour one costs € 24.

Not very quiet due to traffic, but it’s an excellent starting point for visiting the Cinque Terre thanks to its proximity to the train station. The trains in fact provide a “shuttle” service that connects Levanto to the National Park about every 30 minutes. The medieval center and the beach are a short distance away, within a 15-minute walk.

CAMPER PARKING AREA IN bonassola

Once in Bonassola stop on the Discovolo seafront. Parking is allowed only at certain times of the year, from 01/01 to 28/05 and from 11/10 to 31/12 with the exception of Easter week from 24 to 26/04 and from 30 / 04 to 3/05. It is not possible to connect to the electrical connection and / or drinking water. It is clear that this is a real parking lot during the rest of the year, but the position directly on the sea and at the entrance of the cycle and pedestrian path that connects Bonassola to Levanto and Framura is priceless! Parking costs € 12 per 24h from Monday to Friday, while at weekends the price increases to € 22.50.

CAMPER PARKING AREA IN cinque terre

The equipped area in Monterosso al Mare is decidedly different. Situated on the hillside (260 meters above sea level) in a panoramic position, is equipped with 17 camper / caravan places, of which 14 with electric connection, convenient draining of gray / black water, possibility of loading drinking water. Despite being next to the road, tranquility is guaranteed by video surveillance and (discreet) lighting during the night. Open all year, it’s the only one within the Cinque Terre National Park.

The historic center of Monterosso is 1.5 km away and can be reached by bus with a stop in front of the parking area (approximately every 40 minutes, tickets can be purchased by the operators). A short distance away is also a restaurant, Il ciliegio, which can be easily reached on foot. The price is € 20 for 24hours of rest.
